GQ Magazine on Lil Wayne

Devin Friedman, along with fellow GQ editors Alex Pappademas, Will Welch and Adam Rappaport, discuss the time he spent with the Louisiana born rapper, in preparation for the article which appeared in the January 2009 issue.
What does Weezy have for breakfast?
What is his favorite movie?
What changes would he make to the world if he were in charge?
And most importantly, what does he carry in his man purse?

Flower - Developer Diary
You'll probably snicker at their talk of emotions, poems, feelings and experiences; but after playing through the first level of this title, I must say I was very impressed.
Unlike Super Stardust HD (which will have you pulling your hair out) it's very relaxing (guffaw!) and an ideal game to pick up when you're stressing about your divorce, or the economy (yeah I said it).
Flower is now available on the PlayStation Network.

The Meaning of Dope
I came across the site this morning, and spent almost 2 hours going through the various clips. Shit nearly brought tears to my eyes.
Quote from the blogs first post:
"The Meaning Of Dope looks to stand as a respectable ground hosting some of this culture’s past prize moments and memories, spanning from videotaped classics to street team S.W.A.G., and from personal stories as active fans experiencing Hip-Hop’s “Golden Era”, to posting mix-tapes from a time when they needed to meet two criteria - mixing, and being on tape."
The best thing about this site is that it's ran by a fellow Canadian, so I'm seeing clips from a large number of interviews that were done on muchmusic back in the day (shout out to Michael Williams, Michelle Geister, Master T, Oliver and Tracy Melchor).
Check out this early freestyle by Thurst (reppin T.O.) and a very young Mos Def, appearing on the Master Plan Show (Hi Chloe!) in 1994.

More Video Game Art
Members of The Something Awful forums are using their skills to create video game covers, inspired by the designs found on many classic literature pieces.
There's a lot of good work in the thread. Unfortunately they haven't been collected and zipped, so you're going to have to go through the entire thread to see everything.
It would be nice if publishers took notice. Maybe they could start coming up with something a little more creative than this.
Here are some random ones I picked out.
Killer7 by Sexyplates

Doom by MSPain

Metal Gear Solid by Lee Bow

Street Fighter by bbf2

Left 4 Dead (with racial awareness) by FamousThomas

Paperboy by Tooms

Ongoing thread can be found here: The Something Awful

We create magazine ads for the fun of it
Currently one of my favorite things on the internet.
Message board members from the popular gaming site NeoGAF are using their desktop publishing skills to create mock ads for some of their favorite video games.
Some of my favorites include:
Mega Man 9 by Mik

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 by Joelseph

Mirror's Edge by Keyser Soze

Braid by Mini Ditka

Street Fighter 4 by Mik

All completed ads and current projects can be found here: NeoGAF
